Sandy Hill Arts (Inside Out Dorset)

On an island that is not an island, in the shadow of a ruined castle, a researcher wants to understand the complexities of human fear around change and confront her fear of death.

Jonah, a scuba diver who's afraid of water, leads visitors on a tour of Sandy Hill Arts, going on journey that is both emotional and symbolic. He is inspired by Whale Falls, the Leviathan, and the ghostly sounds of an awaiting train.

We Fear: Leviathan was a promenade piece of storytelling, inspired by the village of Corfe Castle, allowing for a collaboration between Catalan and Dorset artists as part of the 2025 Inside Out Festival.

Commissioned by Activate Performing Arts. Funded by Arts Council England, Dorset Council, BCP Council, Garrick Charitable Trust, Insitut Ramon Llull, and Lighthouse Poole. With support from National Trust and Swanage Railway Trust.
